Card Printing

Postcards are printed on thick cover stocks which are sturdier options than flexible paper stocks.  Cover stock pertains to heavy cardboard-like paper that lends durability to the print product it is used for.  This material is especially suitable for postcards since it makes these envelope-less marketing tools more resistant to creasing during direct mailing, as opposed to thinner paper.  These card stocks can come with aqueous coating for a glossy finish or matte coating to create a subdued satin effect on the card surface

Use the available templates for your card printing needs and it’ll align your graphic design better. It’ll also point out the margins for the bleeds, trim areas and safe zone which you need to observe when designing your cards.

Bleeds are measured at 1/8 of an inch or 0.125 which you need to have on your cards, whatever its size. Bleeds are where you extend your colors and design so that cards can be cut to size without unnecessary white borders surfacing around the edges.

The trim area surrounds the final size of your card. Its lines dictate which areas are to be trimmed. Within this trim area is the safe zone where all your designs, such as text and images, are secure, as they should be.

Put your designs at a certain distance from the trim area lest it be cut off. The safe zone’s size can be viewed upon uploading the template or upon clicking on the product specifications.

Select from a variety of card printing products here at My Postcard Printing and explore the many ways you can enjoy them.
